I have the Exact same problem with the same ethernet card and i use @home
cable internet.
i saw 3c90x in module i dont know what its there for? or how 2 install it

That would make learning this stuff a lot easier since I wouldn't need to
try something, write down whatever didn't work, log back into Windows,
etc.
