[newbie] Interface Aliasing

Dears,

I am using interface aliasing (Many IP Address on one physical card)
i.e.

ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.1 broadcast...
ifconfig eth0:2 192.168.1.1 broadcast...

the problem is that everytime I restart my PC everything goes back to
its original i.e. I have to retype the above again. Where can I put
these commands so it is executed everytime I restart my computer.

[newbie] Samba and WinXP Ok, now Internet

Dears,

I am really happy. Even though I am a newbie, I managed to Setup a Samba
server that works from WinXP. I can now access both computer from each
other. I even can surf my local website in Linux from WinXP.

The next step is that I would like to sign on the Internet from Linux
and be able to surf it from my WinXP. How can I do this?

 that's just aliasing from eth0
 you can add an alias like eth0:whatever_name_is
 the easy way to make it permanent after reboot, put that at the end of
 file /etc/rc.d/rc.local

Dears,

How can I make a virtual host. I usually type 127.0.0.1 in my browser to
test my site but I need to work on another site in a different
directory? 

I am running Apache, PHP4, Mandrake 10. I am not sure which appache  I
am running but when I do 'apachectl graceful' it says Reloading httpd2

I hope that I am not running apache2 as it is not recommended to use
apache2 and php in production.

 Install both packages at once.  You can put more then one package name 
 on the same command.  (You did not say how you were trying to install, 
 but the GUI normaly will offer to install both at once...)

 When this happened to me updating the menus didn't help. Most of the
 Packages stuff was no longer installed. Does urpmi still work? If so try to
 install rpmdrake. It will offer to install several other packages or at
 least it did when I lost my menus.

 What version of Mandrake you are running may make a difference, but on 
 9.2 automount will automaticly mount most USB drives.  Take a look at 
 /mnt/removable, and see if it is there.
 
 I would guess that this is a FAT or VFAT file system, so if you realy 
 want to mount it manualy, try something like:
 
 mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/usb -o uid=500,umask=0

the /mnt/usb has drwxrwxrwx permission.
