[newbie] 7.1 Essentials Pack & Power Pack

2000-06-20 Thread Glenn Crouch - ESB

Am I correct in assuming that the LM 7.1 Essentials Pack that is announced
is not meant to replace the Power Pack and that we are still awaiting the
7.1 Power Pack details?

[newbie] Accessing Mail on MS Exchange Server

2000-05-11 Thread Glenn Crouch - ESB

Any recommendations (and URLs if not included in Mandrake 7.02 Powerpack) of
mail readers that will let me access the mail stored in my mail box in our
MS Exchange 5.5 Server. Not after sending and receiving out of mail over the
internet - just want to be able to read my mail stored in Exchange...

[newbie] Connecting to MS Proxy

2000-05-06 Thread Glenn Crouch - ESB

Whilst having used computers and developed software for almost 25 year, LM7
is my first serious "play" with Linux.

We use a Microsoft Back Office Small Business Server (which we are very
happy with) - and I am will mainly be using Linux for development. I can
ping 10.0.0.2 (SBS Server) successfully which leads me to believe my Network
Card is okay and I can talk to the server. I have also managed to print okay
to the Printer connected to the SBS Server - though I seem to have "messed
it up" with some of the playing done today :( Think I can get that happy...

However, my problem is how to set the Network up so that I can "talk" to
MSProxy 2 which is supplying the Internet connection as I would like to have
Internet access within LM - any thoughts or URLs appreciated :)
