Re: [newbie] Logitech wheel mouse scrolling
Hi, So my problem was that I was not having the imwheel running. Now it is working well in netscape and KDE. The only one think I cannot do is to make imwheel start automaticaly at startup. I put the imwheel command in my /etc/rd.d/rc.local but it is not starting up. An idea?? Thanks! I can not scroll in anything. I have tried typing in 'imwheel' and 'imwheel -k' as suggested in some of the newsgroug archives, but that seems to have no effect at all. I am running linux mandrake v7.1 and any help that I get is greatly appreciated. tim -- The very ink with which all history is written is merely fluid prejudice. -- Mark Twain -- Get your own FREE, personal Netscape Webmail account today at http://home..netscape.com/webmail/ -- Steve Hammond
Re: [newbie] Wheel mouse
Hi, This one does not work fine for me even if I have XFree 4.0. I must use imwheel to get the scroll working. Le dim, 13 aoû 2000, vous avez écrit : Mike and Tracy (or, maybe just one of them) helped me with this exact problem, so maybe I can pass it along to you... First, are you using XFree86 3.3.6 or XFree86 4.0? If you're using XF86-4.0, then your problem is like mine, and you have to edit the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file (note the "-4"). In the pointers section, add: Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" Also, if you want to use the wheely-mouse in Netscape, you'll need to use imwheel, but this is pissing me off at the moment as it changes everything else! --Greg Hi.
