Simply open a KDE Programm like KMail or KWord (KEDIT) and OPen the Menu Help 
KDE and on the top you will see the version

you need the sane packeges:

as root modifiy in file /etc/sane/plustek.dll

[parport]
device /dev/pt_drv

to

[parport]
device /dev/lp0

now try to start xsane as root,.

[newbie] programm for scsi streamer?

As I have an external SCSI Streamer 4GB which I want to use, I am looking for 
an nice tool (GUI) for using it. I know there is good old tar, but are there 
any nice graphical tools? thanxs
