Re: [newbie] 3COM Fast Etherlink
heh. Just find some sucker with a Win9x system and get 'em to make you a boot floppy. Then, after it boots, run the PNPDSABL.BAT on the other floppy. ;-) That oughta fix THAT problem (Once in awhile a DOS/Win boot floppy comes in handy, even with a Linux system G) - Original Message - From: Scott Sweeney [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, January 16, 1999 9:28 AM Subject: Re: [newbie] 3COM Fast Etherlink On Wed, 30 Jun 1999, you wrote: Nope. Re: [newbie] 3COM Fast Etherlink
It worked :-))) Thanx for all help. Yeah! On one of the disks that came with the card is a utility to disable the PnP abilities of the card. The program is called pnpdsabl.bat. It must be run in MSDOS mode. Cindy Nope. I didn't turn off anything. How do I turn off the PnP ? Did you turn off the PnP with the disk it comes with?? Thats what I had to do with my 3c509 card..

Re: [newbie] 3COM Fast Etherlink
The Venus installer allows you to set up this card during the installation process--I believe it is the last 3COM card listed and it's nicknamed "Boomerang." It's listed under 3c900, in any case. I did, but it could'nt probe... Best bet is to re-install and set up your card during the process. I did that too...nothing changes... In Windows, it uses I/O Range 6500-643f. Where do I put it in Linuxconf / netcfg ? Maybe I'll just change the card with other type. Thanx for the hints. Suryo Mataram.
