Hi Gang- I can't get over how solid Mandrake 9.1 is and I have been using it since 6.5 - not since the 7 series have I been this excited about it and can't wait for my Power Pack to arrive.
I have a few questions - I am running 9.1 on a Sony Vaio GRX 560 Laptop with ACPI. I have sound, but above a certain volume it begins to distort. The sound card was detected as an Intel, but I know it is a Yamaha card since that is the driver disk for XP that it came with. First question - anyone else on the list using this type of laptop and second does anyone know of any Yamaha sound drivers out there - I must be blind because I have not found anything yet.
