Thanks, Olivier! Actually, I am wanting to force kghostview redisplaying automatically whenever the ps/pdf file is updated. Such thing is possible with gv (the standard non kde ps viewer). Type man gv for more details. You can modify the resources /etc/X11/app-defaults/GV GV.watchFile: GV.watchFileFrequency: /etc/X11/app-defaults/GV to what you need. Thanks, Olivier!
