Certainly cdrecord is gpl, but as I heard it the dvd writer update part of it is not. John -- John Richard Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED] Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? The problem comes when you want to play back the discs. Not all dvd players will play all formats - in fact most won't. You have to research just what you can play on your particular player if you want to use anything other than your recording drive. Anne Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? The problem is that CDRecord apparently only supports the DVD-R/-RW formats. [newbie] DVD+RW Support in Linux
Does anyone know if DVD+RWs are supported under Linux? I've seen some reasonably priced DVD+RW drives recently but the only drives I see listed as being compatible with Linux are DVD-RW drives. Also, DVD-RW drives seem to becoming harder to find lately. Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com
