well, you change it primarily in your /etc/fstab to somthing like this:
 /mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount
 dev=/dev/scd0,fs=iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
 ^^^

I don't have supermount but a simple
/dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 user 0 0
seems to have done the trick.

thanks for the help

[newbie] Devicefiles

2002-06-04 Thread Bo Rosén

Hi all,
I've just enabled ide-scsi for my cd-rom drive on hdc to allow Xcdroast
to see it as well as my paride cd-burner.
However, when I prepared to change the symlink /dev/cdrom from /dev/hdc/
to /dev/sd0 I discover things are not set up as I thought due to devfs.
It looks like this.

[brosen@localhost dev]$ ls -l cdrom*
lr-xr-xr-x1 root root 13 jun 4 18:45 cdrom -
cdroms/cdrom0
lr-xr-xr-x1 root root 13 jun 4 18:45 cdrom0 -
cdroms/cdrom0

cdroms:
totalt 0
lr-xr-xr-x1 root root 34 jan 1 1970 cdrom0 -
../scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd

So, how do I set things up so /mnt/cdrom points to the right place?

Thanks,
Bo
