The hdlist contains a lot of additional info on each RPM, not absolutely essential but very nice. In rpmdrake you can see the difference if you switch between normal / maximal information. The smaller list is a good alternative for people with a slow connection. It is intended for users on dial up lines. It will work just as well as the hdlist.cz when you install/update.
