And if that doesn't work, put in your first cd and mount it, click on Mandrake, and then on RPMS and then on linuxconf and install it! I don't know about all of these probs with finding thingys like logons as root (su) or linuxconfig. If I don't find thingys on the screen or window the next place I go is to the "Command Line" in what ever shell you prefer using and then either login as "su" (superuser) and the root password then run what ever needs to be done for what ever you are having probs with. don I thought I knew that I knew what I thought But now I know that what I thought I knew Isn't what I know I think I thought I knew. I had the same problem when I updated to 7.0. Linuxconfig wouldn't even run in the terminal window. I went to mandake and updated the Drake Config to a newer version. It ran after the new install.
