And if that doesn't work, put in your first cd and mount it, click on Mandrake,
and then on RPMS and then on linuxconf and install it!

I don't know about all of these probs with finding thingys like logons as
root (su) or linuxconfig. If I don't find thingys on the screen or
window the next place I go is to the "Command Line" in what ever shell
you prefer using and then either login as "su" (superuser) and the root
password then run what ever needs to be done for what ever you are having
probs with.

su not = 2 "superuser"

You can su to other names.

password slasher

I perfer to think of it as "Switch User"...

First, you can access 'linuxconf' by typing 'linuxconf' on any terminal
window (xterm, eterm, etc.)
Second, I'm not sure why you can't access Drakconf through KDE except that
you should make sure you're logged in as 'root'. Hope that helps

I had the same problem when I updated to 7.0. Linuxconfig wouldn't even run in
the terminal window.

I went to mandake and updated the Drake Config to a newer version. It ran after
the new install. And linux configs graphic interface was one of the options
from within Drake.

Hope this helps.
