[newbie] Finger

Whenever I try to use "finger" I get an error msg:
finger: connect:  no route to host
The only place with success is my ISP, eg:
finger @pacific.net.ph

All other services seem to work OK.  When I try to traceroute to where
I previously cannot finger, it works OK as well.  I have tried this
from my IP Masqed machine and also the internal machines.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.  TIA.
