[newbie] Gnutella Client
Hello, My Linux installation seems to be stable enough to actually use on a day-to-day basis! Also I finally saw the light and created a separate partition for my /home directories, so in the event of yet another reinstall I won't lose everything. I would like to know if there is any kind of gnutella type program for Linux, and if it is included on 8.1's powerpack cd's? -- Wes Gregg [EMAIL PROTECTED] Registered Linux User # 252649 Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Re: [newbie] Gnutella? Napster for 8.0?
I found Lopster works really well on 8.0. I used a src rpm. I think I found it at: http://lopster.sourceforge.net/main.php3?section=download -s On Thursday 10 May 2001 05:41 pm, you wrote: Is there gnutella or napster that will actaully install on Mandrake 8.0?

Re: [newbie] Gnutella? Napster for 8.0?
Hi, for gnutella I use LimeWire www.limewire.com The linux binary won't install in LM8, so download the version for other operating systems instead. You'll first need to have Java installed in your machine to install and run it though. As for napster, I used to use KNapster and Gnapster in LM7.2 - no reason why they shouldn't work in LM8. You could probably find the RPM packages at www.rpmfind.net On Friday 11 May 2001 06:41, Jon Doe wrote: Is there gnutella or napster that will actaully install on Mandrake 8.0?

[newbie] Gnutella
Hi Folks! Did anybody get or know where I can download the Gnutella sources and/or binaries? Unfortunately they have been pulled from Nullsoft's page by Big Brother (read AOL). Cheeers: Michael Perry. RD. Dep. Netafim Magal. Linux -- the Ultimate Windows Service Pack
Re: [newbie] Gnutella
From some poster on Slashdot, apparently they just moved the address of the site for now. So now it's http://www.allskin.com/gnutella/ . Unfortuantly it looks like it's all .exe files, and there is no source. Did anybody get or know where I can download the Gnutella sources and/or binaries?
