[newbie] How do you stop people from using your server as a spam relay???

It appears that some jerk may be trying to use 
my Linux server to relay mail. 

I don't know if he succeeded or not but I don't to take any 
chances. Short of killing all mail services how can I make using my Linux 
box as a relay VERY difficult?

Use the anti spam rules in sendmail. 

Please would you also set your line wrap in your editor or mailer
editor, your mail was all one line.
