Paul,

Are you a programmer? I, like you have been trying to learn bash scripting and
I am finding it quite difficult. I am not a programmer. I have all the
references that everyone has mentioned below and I am still struggling. I
know you are looking for a site but I should also mention a book that I
recently purchased that has filled a lot of gaps, Learning the bash shell
from Oreilly Press. (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/bash3/index.html). Good
luck w/ your search. Let me know if you find anything good. There sure is a
lot of info. to wrap your mind around.

Also, check out Linux in a Nutshell by Oreilly. It is a really good
explanation of various commands and their usage.

Thanks for your information. I am not a programmer and I am only
wanting to make some scripts to make some tasks automatic. Therefore,
I do not need a deep knowledge about how to program shell scrips.

Good luck with your scripts!

Paul
