[newbie] I got it working

2001-04-08 Thread Derek Rayne

Hi there everyone,

I just wanted to write to you all and say THANK-YOU for all the help I
got from my soundcard working to Xwindows setup, etc...

I went and bought the 7.2 Mandrake Version (Desktop Edition) and it
works great. I have great resolution, plus I have sound on my system.
Boy is it nice!

Thanks again!

I am not clear on this DNS. Do you mean I have to type in the configuration
window the Domain Name Server as in this example.

Prodigy.net

Or am I missing something and need to go out and by a Mac to get a
clue...lol

If you are setting up kppp (or is it Kppp?) you will need to comple the
primary and secondary DNS entries. The numbers you use don't matter because
the DNS's are assigned dynamically anyway.
I just used 123.456.789 and 123.456.790 and it all workde from there.
Cheers
