i think i MAY have found my problem i haven't been compiling the files correctly...or at all howver ever, the: gcc -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -O6 -c driver.c command that they give me doesn't work i know gcc is for compiling but when i do that it sasy command not found what do i do? ive tried cc, gcc, imake none of which work is there a compiler on mandrake...if so where? if not how/where can i get one, is it on the M7.2 CD? Operating system: Mandrake 7.2 Network Card(NIC): Netgear FA311 I've tried several times to install this card. No luck as of yet. I am new to linux/unix. The drivers that came with this NIC are not as up to date as the kernel for Mandrake 7.2 is apparently "too new." I've contacted Netgear on this and they basically said that I was S.O.L. Anyone know where I CAN download newer drivers that WILL work? And if so, would someone mind giving this newbie STEP BY STEP directions on how to install them? I've trying this for over 2 months now. Any help would be MORE than appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!! -christopher
