[newbie] Killing a program
I installed a called Synapse Hotline X and I have it running in the background and I want to kill it but I have no clue. If someone could tell me how to kill this I would appreciate it. Hi, I'm not sure I understand the question, but in general to kill a program you can do ps -e to find all the programs running (or do 'ps -e | grep prog name'), then you see its PID (process id) and then kill -9 PID to kill it.
