[newbie] My notebook's modem and kernel 2.6
Dear friends, I have a new notebook ( Fujitsu Siemens 1840 ). Its modem is smartlink 56k (onboard). Under linux ,chipset name is Sis 7013. I downloaded latest linux driver (2.9.7) from Smartlink's Site . I installed it. Everything seems OK. Bu it does not run . When running Kppp and make query modem ,system finds the modem under ttySL0 , but all answers for ATI commands are empty. I use Mndrk 10.0 ande kernel 2.6 What can I do ?? Any help is appreciated..
