I've kinda been fooling with FreeBSD, too. In what ways is it different
than
linux? Is it better? worse? i'm just a standalone computer user..not on a
lan or anything .I am majoring in CIS, so would it be beneficial to know
about both linux and freebsd? (in addition to solaris, sco, others...)?

 Ok, what about SuSe ?
Btw, as silly as it sounds, ive been messing with FreeBSD too and i find
it
the easiest and better to install, if it wasnt for my low resource on
packages id have it up and running

debate Wes Peters talks about both OS's, the strengths
and weakness of each, and how they live together to form a
  symbiotic circle. "
