Regards, Dan Gordon Thanks a lot. Actually I played a bit with that. However, I got a Home Theatre, and one of the lights of the amplifier blinks whenever the sound card is not active. In that way I know that it is not just a matter of not enough volume and such. Thanks for the feedback. When running as root , i have opened a terminal and used the command:- /usr/sbin/sndconfig (without quotation marks). You will probably get a warning not to do this as root. However i suffered no ill effects as a newbie when this was applied. Check with others if you wish for the disadvantages , but feel free to try this if it can help. Regards [EMAIL PROTECTED]
