The reason you can't import the PLF key with that command is there's one too
many hyphens Terry. Compare; what you input:

 lynx -source http://plf.zarb.org/plf.asc | gpg - --import

 to what I sent:

lynx -source http://plf.zarb.org/plf.asc | gpg --import

Worked like linux. :)

The search on the keyserver would be easier if you used the key number rather
than the string. Or at least possible. It should be at the top of the
message. It's (Key ID: 0x1B996522) but I sent it to you off list anyway.

? I did the import of the key from zarb using lynx just as you describe,

They would download the key (pubkey.asc) but I don't know if you could pipe it
directly to gpg 'cause I've honestly never tried it with any browser except
lynx and you need to be superuser or root for the import to function. Since
you'd have to be at the command line anyway to do it directly lynx is less
trouble anyway. :-) Told you people I was lazy, didn't I? g

 Worked like linux. :)

 Thanks again,

 Terry

You're welcome. The key you wanted is on it's way off list.

If you are using a script with fortune to do your sig you might consider
doing it as
fortune -a -s
which flags it to use shorter 'clean' quotes

I type in this command as root and get the following:

gpg - --import isn't in this case accepting the pipe. How should I

Last question answered first. My public key is on the MIT keyserver and the

If you are using urpmi, and it says something about 'you should update...'
then proberbly, the ftp site has a newer version than your local repository
has. Do an ' urpmi.update -a' and try again. (it will force an update of
your local repository)

Yeah Thanks, I did just that and was able to get past the version problems.
However, I now get some bad signature messages (public key not found)
and some library conflict messages, not sure how to proceed. Is there a
way to get knight.zarb.org's sig? Then I can work on the library file
conflicts.

Thanks again,

Terry
