Re: [OT] Smartkid movies (was [newbie] SCSI card, Where to buy?)
I like Sneakers and The Lawnmower Man too. The Revenge of the Nerds movies are funny too. See Red Dwarf? Is a British comedy series that is somewhat geeky. I own way to many movies though. Other "smart" movies: Wargames, The Manhatten Project and The Wizard (not really "smart" but ti's a movie about playing videogames!) Love that movie. That's one of the few smartkid movies I know of. And I had never heard Carmen McCray (spelling?) sing before. No wonder she has been so well known for so long. Ya, ya, I know, Val Kilmer. Anybody want to suggest any other smart kid movies? -Gary- In a message dated 9/21/2000 10:09:57 PM Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: *^*^*^* Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sungod robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you? -- Real Genius -- Anthony http://binaryfusion.net Computers are not intelligent. Re: [newbie] SCSI card, Where to buy?
Linksys cards are decent and Staples has them for $20. Watch out for the version 4 ones though. They are compatible but you have to update the tulip modules on some systems as the WOL makes them uncompat w/ old tulip drivers. *^*^*^* Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sungod robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you? -- Real Genius On Thu, 21 Sep 2000, hugh wrote: Does anyone have a location that they like to purchase a new scsi card? Re: [newbie] SCSI card, Where to buy?
My next scsi card will most likely be a tekram card. They have drivers for their newest cards on their website and I believe their older cards are supported out of the box. You can pick up the U2scsi for around $100 and the U3scsi for around $190. These are full kits with all of the cables (3), terminators, and 50 pin internal to md50 external adaptor. -Don S - Original Message - From: "hugh" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, September 21, 2000 6:32 PM Subject: [newbie] SCSI card, Where to buy?
