[newbie] Samba and Epson Stylus Pro Printer.
Has anyone used a shared injet printer with Samba? My windows client won't let me create the share because it says that the printer is off-line. I used SWAT to setup the printer and it does show up in the browsing list for the server. I'm using Red Hat 6.0 (Mandrake 6.0) and the printer is an Epson Stylus Pro. I have the printer connected to the printer port of the server. (The printer is NOT networked with a CARD and RJ45 cable.)
[newbie] Samba and Epson Stylus Pro Printer.
I have an Epson Stylus Pro hanging off my Linux server. I can print fine from the Linux box and I have configured Samba as follows: [Epson Stylus Pro] comment = Epson Color Ink Jet path = /var/spool/samba print ok = Yes When I try to attach to the printer my windows 98 client says that the printer is off-line. Can anyone help? Thanks
