[newbie] Screen shots (printscreen) Utility

2004-03-14 Thread Steve Kaufman
All,

I am looking for a utility to do screen captures to the clipboard by
using the printScrn key. I would like to be able to paste the
screenshots directly to the clipboard so I can immediately paste
them into an email for example. It would be great if it had the
flexability to only do the active window and/or select only the part
of the screen you wanted.

Found Ksnapshot but it does not go to the clipboard so it would
require me to save then import. I want to paste some screenshots
into the twiki I created.

Any ideas???

Thanks
Steve

Scrot is great, it's a command line tool, but of course you could bind the
appropriate command to an icon or key combo, depending on your desktop/WM.
