[newbie] Setting up file and printer sharing.
Hi, I have gotten Mandrake 8.0 installed on both my laptop and my desktop computer. These are connected through a broadband router to the Internet. This works fine using DHCP. I can come to work, connect my laptop and everything works fine. Now I would like to set up file and printer sharing between these two computers, and wonderend if someone could point me in the right direction. I have my printer installed using cups on the desktop box. I have never set these things up on Linux before, and wondered how to go about it. Do I use linuxconf, samba or...? Do I have to give the machines names? If so, how? Since I am not on a domain I am unsure how to set this up. There is an excellent tutorial on samba on mandrakeuser...
