[newbie] Supported network cards??

My nettworkcard is 3Com 3c509b. The list of supported hardware contains 
3c509 but not 3c509b ... is my card supported??

Yup!
That's the card that I use on my system, both when I had Mandrake
6.1, and now with Mandrake 7.02

Yes it is... I had a problem with it at first.. then ended up having to 
manually start it each time...

the second time I did a complete clean reinstall of Linux 7.0  it found the 
card and now it loads the drivers at boot up...

if it doesn't recognize it.. I figured out.. by luck  ... to type this in a 
command line...

insmod 3c509
ifconfig eth0 up

then it would come up.. then I had to do somethings in teh Drakconfig to 
get the server etc and all listed.. but it was working after I did that.. 
:)  but now it does it by itself.. not sure how.. but it does..

anyway..long story short.. it is supported.. it is the same one.
