[newbie] Write files

[bob mike]

When i try to copy files from cd or disk to a
directory like games.... it keeps giving me a write
error..

Write Error
>From mnt/cdrom/....
To usr/games/local/halflife/...

Cant write file..
cancel, skip, auto skip..

It does this sometimes.. but then other times i can
copy files... So whats it mean?
