I'm not sure if this will help or not, but Delboys Web Corner  ( 
http://www.jennings.homelinux.net ) has an article on switching back and 
forth between dial-up and ethernet for access.  The link is:

It's for 9.1 but looks like it should work for 9.2, too (9.0 has a 
different procedure).
