Does anyone know how to use the setserial command to change the IRQ setting of a modem to IRQ 5. For some reason, linux seems to want to use IRQ 4 but that creates a conflict. I've jumpered my modem to use IRQ 5 (which is free) but linux doesn't want to recognize it as that. I read that I need to use the setserial command to do this but I'm not sure of the syntax. I'm currently using this modem with a Red Hat 6.2 system but plan on moving it to my Mandrake system on the weekend. Thanks for all your help. John "Registered" Linux User #180033
