If you have Gnome installed, gtoaster is a great program for burning
cds, including iso's. Instructions are here:

[newbie] burning ISO CDs

2001-11-13 Thread Gronbach, Paul

Hi all,
Thanks for the responses and help. The software I had is what came
with the CD, i.e. DirectCD. I now have NeroBurn; it is working great. Once
again thanks.

Paul, if you are seeing direct CD then you have the Adaptec software and it
only works in windows, I missed which system you are using, but if you are
using it in windows then the Adaptec CD should also have Easy CD Creator
4.x as well, This is the software you will want to use to create CD images
or Audio or Data cd's, The Direct CD is used by preformatting a cd with that
hardware and then you can use it like any removable disk to copy files or
whatever. The formatting can take an hour. But the Easy CD Creator is very
straight forward and works a lot like Gtoaster. HTH

What software you using? If it's adobe's(damn, can't remeber the name of the
software) then there is a option in FILE to create a CD FROM IMAGE, select
that option.

Depends on which software package you are using. Here's a couple of tutorial
links:

For Nero: http://www.wizardskeep.org/mainhall/tutor/neroiso.html

For Adaptec CD Creator:

If your using linux cdrecord will burn it fine. If you're using windows
cdrwin or easy cd creator work for .iso. You have to select something like
burn disc image, or image i'm not sure exactly how it's worded. It just
has to know its an image file and not just straight data.
