[newbie] cds in software manager

2004-02-04 Thread Bill Winegarden
Hi Everyone,
I recently did another LM 9.1 install but when I went to MCC software
installer, there was no cd1, cd2, cd3 in the sources. I'm embarassed to say I
don't know how to add them.
Ideas?

Thanks,
Bill W.

As root at the command line, type 'urpmi.addmedia --distrib /mnt/cdrom' after
placing cd1 in the drive. This will add all 3 cd's to your sources in one
fell swoop.

Hi Greg,
Many thanks. I had to add a little bit to the command...from the help file.
The command that finally worked for me was...
urpmi.addmedia --distrib removable://mnt/cdrom
For some reason it demanded the 'removable://' but you definitely pointed the
way.

Thanks again,
Bill W.

Oops, sorry. I knew that, but my fingers were having trouble keeping up with
my brain. Glad you found the answer though.
