[newbie] how to restore my medias in MDK 10.1
Hello, I wanted to upgrade my medias in MDK center so I typed urpmi.removemedia -a In a console and now I have no media. What did I do wrong? How can I get the medias back because all are locked? It depends, really, on whether you have a broadband connection. If you do, go to easyurpmi.zarb.org and set up sources for main, contrib and all the other options that it gives you. The instructions on how to use it a very clear and you should have no problems. You will not need your cds again, as you will download the latest packages of everything available to you. If you don't have broadband you will want your cds back. To get that, put CD1 into your drive and in a root console type urpmi.addmedia --distrib cdrom removable://mnt/cdrom It will set up sources to match your set of CDs.
