You should already have one installed.

See if you've got X-Chat installed - or check /usr/bin/xchat

It's an IRC client.

The departing division general manager met a last time with his young
successor and gave him three envelopes. My predecessor did this for me,
and I'll pass the tradition along to you, he said. At the first sign
of trouble, open the first envelope. Any further difficulties, open the
second envelope. Then, if problems continue, open the third envelope.
Good luck. The new manager returned to his office and tossed the envelopes
into a drawer.
Six months later, costs soared and earnings plummeted. Shaken, the
young man opened the first envelope, which said, Blame it all on me.
The next day, he held a press conference and did just that. The
crisis passed.
Six months later, sales dropped precipitously. The beleagured
manager opened the second envelope. It said, Reorganize.
He held another press conference, announcing that the division
would be restructured. The crisis passed.
A year later, everything went wrong at once and the manager was
blamed for all of it. The harried executive closed his office door, sank
into his chair, and opened the third envelope.
Prepare three envelopes... it said.

I like ksirc, part of kdenetwork. I don't do much IRCing though; I
barely use the feature set. I don't thus do anything much more fancy
than /join #linux :).

libGLcore.so.1 - should be included by the nvidia driver, but i installed it
 allready!
 libpng.so.2
 libvga.so.1

If you cant find a library, urpmf (if you have sources set up) is very
helpful.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# urpmf /lib/libvga.so.1
libc-extras:/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/libvga.so.1
libc-extras:/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/libvga.so.1.2.13

suggests to install libc-extras.

but that can't be right - libc5 is ancient. So I'll crosscheck with
rpm: - libvga doesn't seem to be installed - or maybe it is installed in
/usr/i486 a more general urpmf 'urpmf libvga.so' says it's in
the libc5 older compatibility section. And since looking for libvga.so
omits version-dependent issues, one might conclude that it used to be
provided, but no longer is, or it is renamed.

And it should be pointed out that urpmf scans your sources for said
file, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily installed. And it doesn't
appear to be installed here.

You can similarly track down the other required libraries this way.

For instance, it tells me that a package 'libpng3' and one
'libpng3-devel' give the libpng library.

You got a binary rpm right? It looks like it's for an older release of
something.

You might find its corresponding source rpm, or better yet, look in
contrib for it - but that doesn't seem to be there :( (I have cooker
main, contrib, and plf defined ATM.)
