This happens now and then and I wonder how the subscribe even gets to the list if the person didn't subscribe correctly to begin with. I sometimes send a mail from my comp at work and it requires a added step asking that the mail be put through to the mail list. So how does the subscribe message show up like it does if the person isn't subscribed to the list? Weird things are afoot, methinks. I once responded to one of these, and it was basically a Sign me up for spam tactic. Like you said, something was a foot (or at least smelled like it). I would think that in the process of approving the send, you would figure out how to subscribe... eric Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com

Welcome Mr Hercules... If I might make a suggestion, now would be a good time to set the list up as text only since people read this list with god only knows how many different mail readers, its not a good idea to post in HTML with background images and the like... it comes out as gibberish to some members.. (and they are likley to advice you of that, and possibly even ignore/delete the post.) Also, background images and html waste bandwidth for no good reason.. and some pay for their downloads. have fun... regards Franki -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Hercules Sent: Wednesday, 11 September 2002 1:25 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [newbie] subscribe newbie Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? I could not make the addition, while logged in as the user, so I logged out and back in as root. After adding the subdirectory Stuff to jim/home, I could not start XWindows again. Re: [newbie] subscribe newbie
Did I say this earlier? Either this message was sent 3 times or the list is playing up again. Never post a background in a newsgroup or mailing list. HTML will not always be accepted, but it ususally will because so many people send it. But NEVER send a background. Anyway, It makes the text hard to read. - Original Message - From: Jay Lawton To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 06, 2000 9:14 AM Subject: [newbie] subscribe newbie

Re: [newbie] subscribe/unsubscribe
No joke, I posted some very easy instructions a while back I don't know if you saw them but unless these guys are new, then I don't know what the deal is, maybe I should post them like once a week automatically or something.
