Create an account at MandrakeOnline.net (1st machine free,
 pay for additional
computers) and apply the outstanding updates and the icon
 turns into a Green
 'Tick'.

The only problem I have with MandrakeOnline is that the
 applet turns Red
before the updates have actually hit the mirrors.

I didn't realise that you could have one PC free. I thought you had to
pay for automatic updates full stop. Or do you mean if you buy a boxed
version you get one pc free?

Sorry my information is out of date.
When MandrakeOnline was first introduced the first machine was free in
perpetuity. (That is when I signed up)

The current terms are $21.95 a year, although Mandrake Club Silver members
can have one computer for free.

Do you have the Mandrake Update applet running?
It checks for availability of new updates.

Not that I... well hell, that's what that orange icon
in the system tray is for. I guess I was! Okay, mystery
solved. Thanks!
