Gee we've been here before... Assume that the error messages are all correct. For some reason you keep avoiding this conclusion.
For some reason the remote server is NOT seeing the password you think you are sending. There may be various reasons for this... I.E. Linux sends NL instead of CR-NL which Winblows sends, etc. You should experiment with telnet until you get a sucessful acceptance of your password.
