Hi Anth:

I would recommend that you first create the linux native and swap partitions
using fdisk or Partition magic. Partition magic is very easy to use, I do!
Then reboot from CD-ROM (if your bios supports that). Else run the cd-rom
from dos, else use linux floppy disk for installation.
The cd-rom has plenty of documentation, I would read that first!
Any problems, let me know!

Hi I'm entirely new to the Linux world, and I was interested in trying out
Mandrake's Linux. First of all, I would like to know if it will run on
such
a system with 233 mhz AMD-K6 and 32 MB ram. (It's my old computer ^_^)

Secondly, how do you install it? I put in the disc and restarted, and then
I came to a menu asking for a partition. I have no idea how to work this,
so help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Anth

  who needs windoze?

sorry, I am new. I agree dreamweaver is the bomb, and I wish it was that easy
in linux. I just switched to linux(see below) but before, I had the 30 eval of
dreamweaver 2000asp, and that was really nice, but I am forcing myself to make
do with linux. -- Joe Sircy Linux user since Febuary 5, 2000

I run Mandrake on a system with 66 mhz and 16MB ram. I don't use KDE much, but
it works fine.
