 Dear all,

I re-start my computer today. While I try to login from the KDE login
screen, the screen just flash once and seems the X reset, then bring me
 back to the login screen.

There should be a hidden file in the home directories of both root and user
called .xinitrc

If there is, edit it to read startkde and that is all

If there is no such file make one and edit it to say the above command.

Save your changes and type startx at the prompt.

Hope it works.

Would anyone kindy tell me whatz happented? Is it really the problem
about
the kaudioserver and anything else? Am I did anything wrong and how can
Ifix them up?

I have some sound problems too, sometimes.

If this happens, I need to log in as Root, and do

chmod a+rw /dev/dsp

Then I go back to "user", and run kadioserver by hand. That usually fixes
it. The problem mostly happens when I switch between an X-session and one
of the other text logins
