Quick question here - did you start the install from the CDRW? If so, try 
starting it from your CDROM. Might help...

Each CD must have its own path, therefore no, not really.

However, you could follow SK's seminal advice (and I mean SEMINAL, LOL!)
and copy the contents of the CDs to your HD in /usr/src/mdkcd1, etc.

I did that and now it's like making love to a beautiful brunette on a
beach in Fiji.

I don't get out much...
