I have just installed the older version with urpmi but it doesn't want to run.
I think there is not an .rpm file of it yet, right ? 
Pity. I'm fear the 'make, make install' procedure.

Have no fear, that's about it. If yer worried about it harming your
system, just make and run it from your home dir. But these peeps would
not put out a source package that would harm your system if they wanted
to retain both testes.
