Hi,

I've had the same problem, but looking at some of the scripts, I found
out you have to enable it in /etc/sysctl.conf as well...

The point is that (I think during the "network" script), the sysctl
settings are scanned *after* the /etc/sysconfig/network settings are
scanned...

However, setting /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward to 1 should work fine
too,
although of course that setting isn't remembered when you reboot
