Re: [newbie] Mandrake 7.2 and Sounblaster Live!
I use a Soundblaster Live Value, and had no problems. Mandrake 7.2 found and configured it, no problem. Beats the heck out of me as to what happened. I would try another install. If no one here can give you a good fix, I would suggest http://opensource.creative.com as a good place to start looking for a solution. You can search their mailing list/read the documentation/download new drivers there. RE: [newbie] Crystal 4235
My e-machine is a test machine, I try of distros on it to see which one I like before I install on my main computer. If memory serves, I had to go to drakconig and find the sound card and let drak configure it. If your are useing these cheezy little stock speakers you will have to raise the volume very high to get any sound from it. Re: [newbie] L-M 7.2 availible for purchase on CD?
Try www.cheapbytes.com , they are taking orders now should ship soon. Frank Anyone know when Linux-Mandrake 7.2 will be availible for purchase online on CD? I only have a 28.8 connection and I did download both 7.1 ISO's...took 6 days and I'm not really in the mood for that again. I would just as soon buy it on CD online. -- /} @###{ ]:: LinuX ::: \}
