[newbie] Trying to automate aumix -L
I want my sound levels adjusted on bootup with the aumix -L command. From what I've seen it should go in the rc.local file but when I put it there nothing happens. That works when anybody logs in but is there a way to have it set before anybody logs in? The problem is that if I'm not here and the power goes and the system reboots it's hissing loudly until I log in. Otherwise volume is set for Root. I'm trying to automatically set my volume where I want it in KDE when the system comes up with the command.. aumix -L ..which works from a command line but it doesn't do anything in the rc.local file. [newbie] fatal io error 104 connection reset by peer
While I'm waiting for my Mandrake drisk to arrive I installed Redhat 7.1 and get the error.. fatal io error 104 connection reset by peer when I try to run startx.
