Ho provato ad installare, con il tool Mandrake Software, Tuxracer ma non funziona, non parte il gioco pur essendo presente come applicazione nella categoria divertimento. grazie Fabio

Agreeded, it didn't work for me either, I copied all files and folders and changed all permissions. Interesting. I have exactly the same problem. I noticed that someone posted a fix of just copying /root/.tuxracer to your own home dir, and patching up the permissions... that didn't fix it for me. Never mind, I figured it out. Installing the nvidia drivers did wonders. I'm pretty ignorant on 3D acceleration and computer gaming in general. My gears demo framerate jumped from 250 to 800, so I guess it wasn't running very well either. Oh well, time to race! :) Matt _ Do You Yahoo!? Ciao, purtroppo non so come aiutarti, a me tuxracer parte, solo che e' di una lentezza incredibile: i disegni sono fatti molto bene, ma praticamente e' ingiocabile, in quanto tra un'immagine e l'altra passa circa un secondo, e si' che ho un Athlon 800 Mhz ! Anche io avevo lo stesso problema. Ti dico quello che mi hanno risposto su un'altra ML: Prova ad aggiungere, nel file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 ,nella sezione Section Module , la riga Load glx Ma non ti aspettare grandi cose...
