Thanks for all the options and offers and tips :) Hopefully I can give back to the forum. I was looking around on Ebay and spotted a set of used forks for 100 bucks with a make an offer option. Put in an offer for 40 bucks and it was accepted (plus shipping of 23 dollars) so 63 bucks. They showed up today and the stanchions are straight, rusted up but the slide area is clean. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group. Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Highway Bars / Crash Bars for 2000 NightHawk 750
Yep, I'm watching another set right now for $75. That's still kind of hard though since I bought the last set off a salvage bike for $40. -Kyle On Wed, Jan 16, 2013 at 7:04 PM, surfswab wrote: > Kyle: > > Was it your 700 you went down on? Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Fwd: Fw: Traded a beer for a dog (Something to make you smile)
I have a pic somewhere of my brother, a shepherd in New Zealand with his two dogs on his dirt (farm) bike with him riding around the farm. One sat on the tank and the other on the back just like 'Dog' in the video. Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Highway Bars / Crash Bars for 2000 NightHawk 750
After having recently used my crash bars I second the advice to not crash the bike. It sucks in more ways than one. That said, my crashbars did their job and protected the engine and tank. -Kyle On Wed, Jan 16, 2013 at 6:46 AM, surfswab wrote: > Here's the link to the Vietnamese outfit on Ebay > Had it bookmarked and didn't realize it. > > Price is up since I bought mine, but they're still worthwhile. > > > http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-NIGHTHAWK-CB750-CB-750-Engine-Guard-bar-1991-2003-/400342175113?hash=item5d3640cd89&item=400342175113&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr > > If you use the search term "Nighthawk 750 engine guards" you'll turn > up others as well, but they are used or of inferior quality (the ones > from Thailland don't sound so hot). > > On Jan 15, 5:52 pm, surfswab wrote: > > I have a set of the stainless steel bars mentioned. [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Highway Bars / Crash Bars for 2000 NightHawk 750
Here's the link to the Vietnamese outfit on Ebay Had it bookmarked and didn't realize it. Price is up since I bought mine, but they're still worthwhile. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-NIGHTHAWK-CB750-CB-750-Engine-Guard-bar-1991-2003-/400342175113?hash=item5d3640cd89&item=400342175113&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr If you use the search term "Nighthawk 750 engine guards" you'll turn up others as well, but they are used or of inferior quality (the ones from Thailland don't sound so hot).
