When I had my 99 250 and needed a replacement,  I would get the normal
round H3 bulb from walmart automotive section. .

I doubt it. For the most part the 82 and 83 650 are completely different
bikes.

Can you measure your current battery? The site I'm looking at (Impact
Batteries) lists the YB12AL-A as 5.3" x3.15" x6.3", same as my VFR battery.
If that's the case, and that Bikemaster doesn't fit either, get a Motobatt
MB12U. It fit beautifully in the Viffer.

[Nighthawk Lovers] Clutch job

I have a Nighthawk 750 that needs a new set of clutch plates. At 65k miles
and at least three new riders' worth of wear I feel that's reasonable.

Does anyone on the list have tips? Anyone have the specialty nut (?) for
the job?

EBC kit good quality, or should I spring for the real deal Honda parts?

The top case will be of big help for the passenger. It also helps the
rider, because you know you can roll the throttle hard and she will still

A battery tender is compatible with a n AGM battery. They are the same
chemistry as a regular lead acid, just in better packaging.

That's weird. AGM is still a wet battery. I know gel cells need special
chargers, but I've never seen anything about an AGM battery needing one.

Don't do it, not worth the risk if you get a over charging issue.  Electrolyte 
battery should last, just make sure your not over charging and keep it topped 
off with distilled water when needed.

My instructions with AGM battery stated to use a charger that has a AGM charge 
option, there is a switch on my charger for it.

Yeti, they said they didn't and couldn't have an AGM. Had acid and could order 
a lithium.  As a helicopter mechanic in the Army, when they first came out, and 
an airline pilot watching the Dreamliner issues, not real sure about lithium.

Sorry I wasn't more specific.  Yes - you do need a specific NH750 mounting 
kit and they're no longer in production.  That said, I did find one from 
(New Old Stock) from a supplier in Australia (online) - where their version 
of the NH750 (called CB-SevenFifty I believe it was called) was a bolt-on.

Are you sure? I've not seen that requirement in ages.  I've gone to all AGM
batteries in the past five years without problems using my cheap
chargers/maintainers.

Did the batteries plus not have it avaiable or just not in stock? I was a
tech for then for years and never had a power sports battery we couldn't
find something to work (except a very old Indian 6v but I ended up
building him a custom pack for that!)

properly tested. I would look into the start button and solenoid. ..

I haven't done that mod but I doubt any headlight bucket is rain proof.
They always have a drain hole in them, and are rusty on the inside.
