[Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Replacing master cylinder sight glasses

2016-11-30 Thread Krunch
Oops! I hit the unsubscribe link in the email when I got it! Hope I get future
posts from you Kyle or anyone that has any extra to sell! I might also consider
ordering up 8 and redistribute myself for equal pricing up here in Canada. It
looks like they only charge an extra $2.50 to Canada anyway

2016-11-30 Thread Tommy Hill
I will need to look and find them IF I still have some. Unfortunately, I am
jammed tomorrow and leave the next day for basically two weeks. I will do my
best to look tomorrow for you.

The carb cables are swappable with certain other models.

Here is what I was told is a direct replacement. I bought them but have not
tried to install them.

Honda OEM parts
17920-MW3-670
and 17910-MW3-P00

Not sure which is puller or pusher.

[Nighthawk Lovers] Re: 1984 750 Nighthawk S

2016-11-30 Thread geo-hawk allan
Just went through similar here with the '86 700S and found it takes a
different float valve than the 84 & 85 models.I also did a look for
yours and came up empty in resultslike others suggested, need to find
out what the numbers on the carbs are and then you should be able to get
any honda dealer to look them up and they should be able to see and tell
you if the 700 & 750 carbs were the same or notIn the process of doing
mine now all the parts are here and just needing to find time to put her
back together. The push cable (B) was broken..talk about a hunt to find
either of the throttle cables for these bikes.found 1 OEM (B) cable for
it for like $22, then had to special order through Motion Pro cables the
(A-pull) cable$42
an the choke cable is still commonly made by them @ $17 n change.

I found this site fairly helpful in info on carbs and jets etc...
https://jetsrus.com/needle_valve_float_bowl_gasket/needle_valve_and_float_bowl_gasket_honda_street.html

though there's none listed for any 84-86 cb750sc models
they show an 82-83 cb750sc

Tommy- I may be interested in the signals you havePO took off both
front and changed the rears to some new fangled after markets I'm not the
fondest of
condition? fronts? rears? price?

[Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Power source for volt meter

2016-11-30 Thread EGrider
Yes, I could take up the 12v plug with a voltage meter, but again, I was
looking to leave the 12v available for gps, etc. and have the voltmeter
work only when the ignition was on.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] 1984 750 Nighthawk S

2016-11-30 Thread Tommy Hill
My GUESS is the carbs are the same. If you are not in a hurry, pull the carbs
and look at the size of the Jets. If that is the same, then a safe bet they
are identical. FWIW, I also checked CMSNL (Holland) and they also do not have
info for the 750S. You may try emailing them to ask. I look forward to
learning what you find out. Partzilla.com is a pretty good source for parts.
I bought carb rebuild kits from them and they were perfect. CMSNL, though
seems best for really hard to find OEM parts.
