Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Front Brake Line Kit - 2002 NH750
One More Question - Hopefully the last - - The Russell SS Brake Line is on (fits well), and a brand new fill of DOT4. Very nice lever feel after bleeding well. - Have not swapped on the EBC HH pads yet as I can't get the *Pin Pad Plug* off at the caliper, to get to the *Pin Pad Bolt*. Looks like a straight-slotted screw, tried once but I don't want to strip it. Any ideas? It is a slotted screw-plug isn't it? (NH manual shows it with threads but does't describe it) Should I maybe try an impact wrench? WD-40? (Hesitant to use WD-40 so close to the brakes) I feel like such a rookie, thanks for your help. The new Russell S/S front brake line is going on the bike this weekend along with a set of new EBC HH pads. Should I also 'condition' the rotor with a light sanding of fine-grit (500-1000-2000) sand paper to aid in bedding-in the new EBC material? [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Front Brake Line Kit - 2002 NH750
A way to be sure: Go to any parts supplier that offers microfiche lookup of parts (like http://www.servicehonda.com). Look up brake lines for a 1996 NH750, then look up same for your model year. If part numbers are the same, it's a match. On Saturday, October 5, 2013 11:21:10 AM UTC-4, ewun wrote: Does anyone have experience on this. [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Front Brake Line Kit - 2002 NH750
Surf - Thanks, great idea - being more precise. What I found is - there are two different part numbers, and the part number changed over from 1998-to-1999. From (1998) - 45126-MW3-671, To (1999-2002) - 45126-MW3C71; and part price went from $44.44 to $41.57 (so definitely a different part). I'm not sure now, whether it will fit or notinstinct is that it SHOULD. ??? I can't imagine that the length is different enough to make a difference.
